South Ferriby Lock Inspection

Stirling Maynard were appointed by JN Bentley to undertake a visual and tactile structural condition survey of the visible elements of South Ferriby Lock and report the findings. The lock connects the River Humber to River Ancholme. The 40m long, 6m clear width by 8m high lock is solid masonry with lime mortar joints constructed on a timber pile mat. Observed defects were recorded on drawings contained in the condition report along with record photographs taken at the time of the survey.
