Drainage & Infrastructure Engineer – Job Opportunity

We are looking for candidates who have a degree in Civil Engineering (or demonstrable equivalent experience) plus between 3 and 10 years post graduate experience. Candidates will ideally be a Member of the ICE or other professional Institution, ideally working towards, or have attained a Professional qualification. Previous experience of working for SME’s would be beneficial.
The candidate should have experience in:
• The design and detailing of drainage and infrastructure schemes,
• Flood Risk Assessments & knowledge of SuDs,
• The use of drainage and earth modeling design software, (e.g. Microdrainage/PDS/Flow/Civils 3D)
The right candidate will have good writing skills and social adaptability, good technical skills being conversant in designing to Highways for Adoption and possess an eye for detail. You will be a good communicator, be comfortable at conveying technical concepts.
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities will range from carryout the technical design and detailing of schemes of varying size, agreeing design fundamentals with more senior Project Managers prior to working up designs with allocated in-house teams. You will be expected to work with other engineers and technicians in delivering calculations and drawings, together with assisting in the production of technical specifications, reports and project information. You will be expected to attend project team meetings and liaise with external project team members to meet project deadlines. More senior candidates will be expected to demonstrate managerial skills.
